'The Wellbeing Light'
Conceptual / Product Design

The 'Wellbeing Light' is a transformative design direction that proposes to harness the influence of colour, intending to bring rest to the over-stimulated psyche of the 2030 metropolitan regime. This project aims to combat the negative onslaught of news by employing colour to enhance the sense of wellbeing and overall health within the future home environment. The light engages with the ideology of chromotherapy and translates this psychology into a design function that interprets colour into a personal tool to facilitate health and self-care.

"The psychological interpretation of colour occurs on both a personal and collective level as a tool to facilitate health and wellbeing"
(Best, 2017).
