'Creating Future Textiles' is a future-focused design project that explores sustainable and bio-based solutions towards using single-use plastic bags in the fast fashion industry. The project aligns with the Envision2030 Goal: Responsible Consumption and Production and consciously challenges the fast fashion industry's current reliance on plastic. The material study follows a bio-based investigation and adopts the 'pulping' methodology. The samples utilize recycled paper, natural raffia and explore different finishes such as beeswax to enhance functional properties.
